A game for the Playdate. Hit pool balls against each other. If two balls of the same pattern make contact, they merge and upgrade to the next pattern. Your life-bar diminishes with the number of balls on the table. If your life-bar becomes empty, you enter a sudden death mode, and your last ball must save you by removing some balls.

Controls

  • Left/Right (or use the crank) to aim the shot
  • A, B or Up to shoot

I just can't stop playing. What an addictive game!!! Thank you so much

This is too cool!! Love the patterns on the balls, makes it a lot more intuitive played in black and white than I'd have expected. This is exactly what I'm looking for in a Playdate game honestly.

Super cool. c:

Great game, defently one of my favourites so far. You should put a price on it, its worth paying money for it.

One suggestion I would make - make it possible to launch the ball using the d-pad up arrow - makes it a bit nicer to play with the crank. A music track could be cool to :)

Thanks for an awesome game!

This is really fun!

Loved this early pico8 game and this is a great conversion.

I’d love to be able to use any D-pad direction or button to fire the ball as the A button is the trickiest to use with the crank.

My main critique is that the ball patterns are (for me) a little difficult to tell apart, but I know first-hand that is a challenge.

Top game ! like it! <3  ... 5Stars

hey GBM! nice seeing you here.

i'm also itching for a dpad launch button. really, all face buttons including dpad could trigger ball launch, as there's no other command to dedicate to the buttons.

the ball patterns are a little tricky to discern at a glance, but it is functional and i'm not getting confused often. if there's any bandwidth to devote to overhauling the patterns, this would make the user experience all the better.

Thanks, gg, for an excellent port of a great Pico-8 title. I hope to see more Pico games come to Playdate
